God's Instructions Versus Society's Opinions. Who Will You Follow?

Matthew 25 vs 35 -45 For I was hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink:  I was a stranger, and ye took me in...

Don't close your eyes to other’s needs!

Many times, we seem to always want to question God and blame him as to why He has allowed certain things to happen in our lives or in the life of someone close to us.  Have you ever thought or wondered that maybe, just maybe, God is asking us the same question especially when He gives us the resources to help another?

Many times, we question the Lord and ask, why are all these people suffering and dying from starvation Lord? Have we ever prayed and asked the Lord to show us a way or an area in which we can help?

Why don't you consider making an investment in someone’s life?

Buying that new pair of shoes, that dress, that pant, those rims for your car? Are those critical needs when someone very close to you is dying to have something to eat or even some of those used clothes or shoes in your cupboard for years?

Those hair dos, do you really need them? How about buying or preparing breakfast or lunch or dinner for someone today? Offer to donate groceries to somebody who is honestly really in need.  Let’s all stop! Take time out for others! YES  OTHERS!

No man is an island! We all need help sometime or the other. Some of us have become very self-centered. “It’s all about me – me – me – me!”

We have a mentality that suggests that,  “Once I am getting through, and I am on top, I don’t care about anyone else.”

Many of us show little or no concern about anyone else! In our minds we constantly say, “I have to see for myself!”

Think about it! Am I wrong?

What are you doing to help change or impact the life of at least one individual with the little or the lot that God has given to you?

Have you closed your eyes to others need? Proverbs 28 vs 27  …..Whoever gives to the poor lacks nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.

The second part of this Proverb could be restated positively: Those who help the poor will be blessed. How you want this proverb to work for you lies in the palm of your hand. YOU  DECIDE – NOT  ANYONE  ELSE!

Don't assume from what you have seen on the outside that a person has it all together and don't really need your help or even a listening ear. When you give to others, do not give expecting to receive from that person. (Luke 6 vs 34 And if  he lend to them of whom he hope to receive, what thank have he? ....)

GOD  IS  THE  REWARDER  AND  HE  WILL  REWARD  IN  DUE  TIME! Nobody you give to is ever obligated to you! Let’s get that straight!

God is the one who gives the increase! He is the source of all blessings. Continue to do your part and watch God bless your life openly. That’s the truth. It has happened in Bible times and it is still happening today!

Do not give or do something for recognition!

Don't just give to those you know would be able to give back to you. I also understand that as humans, we expect some kind of gratitude to be shown when we help someone, but if they turn out to be ungrateful, it’s not you they are hurting. You would still get your reward from GOD all in due time.

Those who have used you and mistreated you, they too have their reward according to Romans 12 vs 20. . . .if thine enemy hunger feed him, if he thirst give him drink: For in doing so thou ( YOU) shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Too many times we allow others to walk away without lending a helping hand. We many times say to them, “I’m gonna be praying for you, when you or someone you may know is in a position to help make even a little difference in their life. (NLT James 2: 16-17)

Just suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing,  and you say "Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well" - but then you don't give that person any food or clothing. What good does it do?

We are our brothers keeper! Stop judging by the way things appear on the outside! Be someone’s confidant. We can help each other in so many ways if only we take a day off from investing in ourselves.

Look for opportunities to do something special that would bring a smile to someone's heart!
Circumstantial evidence is NOT always right.  If that is so, Nicodemus should have never gone in secret to meet with Jesus. He did not know it all. He didn't have it all together, as so it appeared as a man of his status.

Do not let what other people may say about someone that you are led to help, rob you of your blessings when you bless someone. That person may not be their first choice or their choice at all, but who can counsel God?

Who can tell God who he should use or choose to bless you?

If God is speaking to you or he has spoken to you by putting someone on your heart, get up and obey God! RIGHT  NOW! RIGHT NOW! RIGHT  NOW! If you don’t, your conscience will forever be unstable and play you mind games until  you BLESS  THE  PERSON  THAT  YOU HAVE   BEEN  WANTING  TO  BLESS  FOR  SO  LONG, but have held back because of fear and GREED!

You don't need to consult a friend or worry over the public’s opinion when God is giving you instructions? Who's  instructions  will you honor?

Give to God something that costs you something. Give sacrificially and watch GOD move mightily in your life and reward you with GOOD  SUCCESS!
