LIFE

Life is just a tangled web,
Cast upon the shores of nations -
Rich and poor, large and small,
Cold and hot, cool and temperate.
This tangled web, trips up black and white,
The yellow, brown and red,
From birth until the very day they're dead.
Some take those ruins and skilfully fashion fortune,
In the fairest manner,
To serve humanity with little bother.
Others grovel among the ruinous muck and seek to blame some other.
They never seek to lift themselves above the ruinous circumstances.
There they stay complaining of the debt the world owes them.
Those who fashion fortune, close chapter after chapter.
Those who lurk complaining, close a book.
That's their life above.
That's their life below.
The winners are those who took the baton,
And plugged a useful link in the relay of life.
The losers lie idle and wait, while nothing happens.
